Tempest is an independent forensic accounting firm.  All work is undertaken by one or more of our five experienced partners, who are all chartered accountants.  There is no delegation to junior staff.

Our History: A Team Built on Decades of Experience

Tempest was formed as an independent boutique firm exclusively offering forensic accounting services in 2013.  Previously, all five of our partners had worked together at a Top 5 international accounting practice and brought all of that experience and expertise with them.  

Whilst the team has remained the same for many years, the depth and breadth of our experience and service offering has continued to develop.  We now assist clients from a wide range of sectors, across the entire UK and abroad.  We are able to flex our approach to accommodate relatively small value matters right up to multi-million pound disputes whilst maintaining a proportionate pricing structure.

High quality work to our clients. We have combined experience of over 100 years of forensic accounting and report writing.
Independent opinion, thought and advice.  Using our professional experience and objective perspective we provide both our clients and the Courts with honest, independent advice and/or opinion.  We present complex financial matters in a clear and uncomplicated way and explain the basis and rational behind any conclusions drawn.
A lack of conflicts of interest.  As an independent forensic accounting firm (i.e. we do not have other departments providing audit, tax or other services to clients) we pride ourselves on being able to respond quickly as we very rarely have conflicts of interest. 
A flexible approach. We tailor our work and the format of our reporting to best meet our clients’ requirements, such as timescales, budget and the nature of the case in question.  
Good value and flexible fee structures.  Our fees are competitive, reasonable and transparent.  We generally charge on an hourly basis albeit estimates can be prepared for particular phases of work or the overall assignment if requested.  In certain circumstances we may be able to consider fixed fees, capped fees, deferred fees and contingent fees.
Legal Aid.  Unlike many firms, we undertake legally aided work at the prevailing rates, subject to prior authority from the Legal Aid Agency.
